DESCRIPTION:The National & International Cooperation unit\, together with t
 he Language Center of the University of Basel\, invites you to the next Ca
 fé international. We are offering a guided tour of the city in English:\
 \r\\nThe University of Basel throughout the year & the centuries \\r\\nThe
  walk is conducted by Dr. Tanja Popović\, Welcome & Euraxess Center\, Un
 iversity of Basel.\\r\\nTOUR \\r\\nOver the course of 60 minutes\, we will
  introduce you to festivities\, events and locations important for our uni
 versity and the city. Learn which celebrations and dates are relevant for 
 the University of Basel community throughout the year while strolling thro
 ugh the historic old city. Get an overview of developments and important i
 nternational influence over the centuries while enjoying the mediaval arch
 itecture\, hidden yards and overlooked alleys. At the end of the walk you 
 will feel familiar with the history of the oldest university in Switzerlan
 d and hopefully have a more embedded pespective on your stay in Basel.\\r\
 \nAPÉRO \\r\\nThe guided tour will end at the lovely\, covered outdoor t
 errace of the ‘Alte Universität’ above the Rhine where a rich APÉR
 O AROUND THE WORLD catering\, incl. cold and hot drinks will be waiting fo
 r you. The tour and dinner will take place in all weather conditions. Plea
 se bring an umbrella and/or dress accordingly. We are very much looking fo
 rward to welcoming and introducing you to the University of Basel and to B
 asel at this occasion!\\r\\nMEETINGPOINT \\r\\nPeterskirchplatz 7 (at the 
 main entry of the ‘Peterskirche’ church). The tour ends at the ‘Alte
